SimplyGames sales nearly double

The games market may be struggling, but online indie SimplyGames has enjoyed a strong start to the year.

MD Neil Muspratt reports that total sales are up by over 90 per cent year-on-year since January 1st and sales for Q4 2012 grew by 69 per cent year-on-year.

We are delighted with this performance, especially given the very tough trading conditions and lackluster performance of the UK market as a whole,” he said.

Muspratt said the main sales driver has been software, thanks largely to a major uplift in pre-order activity and increased promotion sales”.

We’ve made a difference in an arena where differentiation is so hard – and the rewards have come,” said Muspratt.
