Sources claim Call of Duty co-creator has left studio he co-founded

Report: Jason West departs Respawn

Multiple sources claim that Jason West has left Respawn Entertainment.

Famous for creating the Call of Duty franchise alongside Vince Zampella, West was last in the public eye as a result of the pair’s high-profile lawsuit against Activision.

West and Zampella were fired by the publisher in 2010, resulting in one of the biggest legal battles in the gaming industry.

A settlement was reached in May of last year, and sources tell IGN and Kotaku that West has been absent from his new studio Respawn since that time.

West is said to have left because of familiy issues, and his departure was described as amicable.
