Grid 2 dated, special edition revealed

Codemasters has confirmed that the eagerly awaited follow-up to acclaimed 2008 release Race Driver: Grid will arrive on May 31st.

Grid 2 will be published for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, and will challenge players with races set around the world. It will also incorporate Codemasters’ online network RaceNet, which launched with last year’s Dirt Showdown.

Codemasters has also partnered with GAME for an exclusive special edition.

Those who pre-order from the specialist retailer, either in-store or online, will receive Grid 2: Brands Hatch Edition. This includes a copy of the game and two DLC packs.

The McLaren Racing Pack features the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 Special Edition car and two new routes around the iconic British circuit.

Meanwhile, the Head Start Pack comes with the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 GT car, a RaceNet bonus and early discounts for the Car Upgrades Store in the online modes.
