Majesco shuts down Boston branch – report

Social games studio Majesco Boston has closed down, at least according to a former employee.

GI.biz reports that the developer’s former senior producer Chris Pasley claimed as much in a Facebook update.

I enjoyed my time at Majesco,” Pasley said. I hate that it ended so abruptly with the whole studio closing, but that’s the way the industry is. Anybody need a Design Director?”

Majesco Boston formed after the publisher acquired Massashusetts-based developer Quick Hit, known for its Facebook game Quick Hit Football, back in 2011.

Quick Hit’s founder, Jeff Anderson, subsequently became Majesco’s senior vp of social and mobile games, and the new studio went on to release free-to-play title Legends of Loot for iOS and Android in 2012.

Majesco has yet to provide any official comment on the matter.
