Telltale "could do a great Star Wars story game"

Having single-handedly proven that episodic, narrative-driven gaming is very much a financial reality, Telltale has name-dropped some other key IP.

Many of Telltale’s staff are former developers from LucasArts – a perfect reason, it argues, why it could do the Star Wars IP justice.

Coming from LucasArts we always felt we could do a great Star Wars story game,” Telltale’s CEO and co-founder Dan Connors told RedBull.co.uk.

We also love the idea of building out a deeper story to a great game franchise, something like Half-Life Stories or Halo Stories.”

Star Wars games have traditionally revolved around the action elements of Lucas’ franchise. A narrative-driven outing, drawing on the rich lore of the Star Wars universe, would have a large and obvious appeal.
