Who’s Capcom gonna call? Ghostbusters!

Capcom has tasked studio Beeline Interactive with making a brand new Ghostbusters game, which is due out in early 2013.

The Ghostbusters brand was chosen in particular as Capcom hopes it will appeal to a male audience – an ideal counter to Smurf’s Village’s female heavy user base.

Beeline has also been named as Capcom’s dedicated casual gaming brand going forwards.

The studio is the outfit behind Capcom’s smash hit Smurf’s Village title and has apparently enjoyed 74m downloads of its various titles outside of Japan. Its other titles include Smurfs, Shrek and Peanuts.
