eSports team Quantic Gaming shut down as investors pull funding – report

North American eSports team Quantic Gaming has been disbanded after investors pulled the organization’s funding.

Gamespot reports that while an official announcement has yet to be made, several team members have taken to social networks to share their thoughts.

Apparently the investors ripping of the funds came without warning, as neither players nor staff knew about it beforehand.”

Quantic Gaming, which was composed of a roster of professional players for Starcraft II, League of Legends and the Call of Duty series, had won five Major League Gaming events since its formation in 2010.
