Blackberry Got Game Port-a-Thon heading to Hyderabad, Mumbai

RIM has tied up with the NASSCOM Gaming forum to bring the Blackberry Got Game Port-a-Thon to India.

The event aims to encourage game developers to port their game apps to the Blackberry 10 platform, offering incentives such as a Blackberry PlayBook, Blackberry DevAlpha, and up to $2,000 in cash.

All games that are successfully ported and approved will receive one week of app store marketing, and developers who submit more than five games will be featured via a partner banner for a week.

In India, the Port-a-Thon will take place in Hyderabad and Mumbai. Here are the dates and venues for each city:

Hyderabad (12th December 2012)
Time: 9:30 am to 5 pm
Venue: Hotel AVASA, Plot No: 15,24,25 & 26, Sector – 1,Survey No 64, Huda Techno Enclave, Madhapur

Mumbai (14th December 2012)
Time: 9.30 am to 5 pm
Venue: The Classique Club, New Link Road, Oshiwara, Andheri West
