Borderlands 2 Wii U port shot down by Gearbox

Gearbox head Randy Pitchford has revealed Borderlands 2 will not be making it onto Wii U.

NintendoEverything reports on a GamesMaster magazine interview where Pitchford discussed why the port isn’t in the cards.

We get asked if there is going to be a Wii U version of Borderlands [2], and the reason why there’s not is because we couldn’t think of a natural, obvious, ‘OMG, I want that for what the Wii U brings to the table’ feature,” Pitchford said.

Pitchford added in the interview that Aliens: Colonial Marines will better suit the console, due to the game’s motion sensing device working well with Wii U’s gamepad to make player’s feel like they’re part of the film.
