Samba de Amigo confirmed for Wii

Fans say it’s a match made in heaven – and it seems that Sega clearly agrees as the Japanese games giant has now confirmed that massive cult hit Samda De Amigo is heading to Wii, according to

1UP

.

Originally developed for Japanese arcades in 1999 and appearing on Dreamcast a year later, Samba De Amigo sees players take control of two maracas which they must shake in time to the in-game music.

With the Wii already boasting a motion sensitive Remote and Nunchuck, the ease of developing the game for the system has obviously encouraged Sega to take the plunge.

There has not yet been confirmation of a European release, but fingers crossed the game will reach these shores.
