FIFA 13 smashes series’ American sales records

As it goes on sale in the UK this morning, EA has announced a record-breaking debut for FIFA 13 in North America.

The publisher estimates that the Xbox 360 and PS3 SKUs between them sold 353,000 – a 42 per cent year-on-year increase. The game was also released for Wii, PC, PS2, PSP, Vita and 3DS, with a Wii U version to arrive alongside Nintendo’s machine in November.

EA also says that the iOS version of the game, which costs 4.99, has also broken the series’ previous records, with sales up 62 per cent year-on-year.
