Hollywood Reporter has word that the Dmitri Glukhovsky science fiction novel Metro 2033 will receive a movie adaptation following the IP’s two video game efforts.

F. Scott Frazier will write the script and Mark Johnson, known for his work on The Chronicles of Narnia and Galaxy Quest, will produce.

Metro 2033 the game was developed by 4A and published by THQ – the latter of which admitted the title was sorely under-marketed. Its sequel Metro: Last Light is slated for next year.
