Industry luminary and visionary David Perry was honoured with the prestigious Development Legend Award at this year’s Develop Industry Excellence Awards.

Now you can watch his emotional acceptance speech for the accolade in a video below, for which he received a standing ovation, highlighting his position and reputation as one of the most respected and popular figures in games.

In his speech, Perry thanked his mother and father, who were both in attendance on the night, for helping him become one of the industry’s biggest hitters.
