'NeoCom' provides social elements and gear customisation on the move

E3 2012: Dust 514 gets Vita app

CCP, the developers behind EVE online and its interconnected spinoff shooter Dust 514, has announced a companion Vita app to accompany the highly anticipated PS3 release.

Dubbed ‘NeoCom’, the app will make Dust’s social elements, character management, and equipment customization available on the go.

Dust 514 will be free to play, with players able to purchase cosmetic upgrades for weapons, characters, and vehicles, making the Vita app – which means players can purchase upgrades whenever and wherever they like – even more important to CCP’s overall strategy.

The game beta will launch on June 29.
