LucasArts announces new mature-themed Star Wars 1313 franchise

LucasArts today announced Star Wars 1313, a new internally developed game franchise set within the Star Wars universe.

Interestingly, the new franchise is targeted at mature audiences, so much so that you’ll have to be at least 18 years-old to even visit the official (UK) website. The game is set to be formally revealed at E3 next week.

The third-person action adventure title will see players control a bounty hunter in the dark and mature” Coruscant underworld, the most dangerous place in the Star Wars galaxy”.

Gameplay in Star Wars 1313 is said to feature epic set pieces and fast-paced combat, and rather than Force powers, the player will possess human skills, gadgets and exotic weaponry”.

LucasArts hasn’t revealed a release date or the platforms Star Wars 1313 will be available on. E3, perhaps.
