Minecraft sales close in on 10m

Total global sales of indie PC hit Minecraft are rapidly approaching 10m.

The actual sales figure stands at maybe” 9.2m sales, according to Mojang’s Daniel Kaplan.

Earlier today Mojang founder and Minecraft creator Markus Persson revealed that sales of the PC original had hit 6m.

This means that total sales of the newer versions – specifically Xbox Live Arcade, iOS and Android – have passed 3m.
