Sony DADC ups B2C offering

Distributor Sony DADC will increase its business-to-consumer services when it opens its new warehouse.

The firm already supplies retailers with games, and plans to offer ‘enhanced B2C services’ when its Enfield facility is built this summer.

Sony DADC is extending its product and services capability portfolio to support the evolution of the media and entertainment industry into the next era,” Sony DADC’s UK general manager of distribution Natasha Tyrrell told MCV.

The new facility will be bigger than its predecessor, with three floors, 24,000 square metres in space. It boasts ‘better technology and a bigger infrastructure’.

The company is also upping its security following the fire that torched its previous distribution centre during last year’s London riots.

Sony DADC has placed significant investment into security to avoid a repeat of the situation which occurred last summer,” added Tyrrell.

Sony DADC, its staff, clients and prospective business partners are excited about the new site.”
