Interactive exhibition to showcase work of celebrated game designers

Schafer, Molyneux to open Game Masters exhibition

Industry legends Tim Schafer and Peter Molyneux will appear at the opening of The Australian Centre for the Moving Image’s Game Masters exhibition.

The interactive exhibition will feature the work of famous game designers from Australia and with displays of concept art, interviews, and over 125 playable games.

According to Gamespot, the two will be part of public programs for education and industry.

The creators of Sonic the Hedgehog, Mario Brothers, The Sims, Rock Band, and The Legend of Zelda will also appear.

Molyneux is best known for his pioneering work at Bullfrog, creating classics such as Populous, Syndicate, and Theme Park, and recently left his position as head of Lionhead studios.

Schafer, already a hero of adventure game fans for his work on Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, and Grim Fandango, went on to found Double Fine Productions, where he created the critically acclaimed Psychonauts.

Double Fine has made recent headlines with their Kickstarter campaign, which has raised $3.3 million dollars to create an "old school" adventure game.
