Sim City 5 tipped for 2013

Developer Maxis has reportedly confirmed that Sim City 5 is in development and likely to be released in 2013.

GameSpot reports that the confirmation came from Maxis developer Lucy Bradshaw, who claimed that development has until now been kept under wraps due to ongoing work on the Sims and Spore franchises.

Sim City 5 is said to run on an all-new game engine called Glassbox that will offer more creative road patterns and multiplayer support.

It could be that the game will be revealed at EA’s GDC event next week.
