BETHESDA: New Doom lets players create their own modes

Bethesda kicked off its E3 press conference with a gory showing of its new Doom game.

Along with three (count them), violence-filled trailers, developer id Software showcased a new mode called Doom SnapMap.

The idea behind the mode is to let players create their own levels and new gameplay modes, effectively offering ways for players to create their own mods. Players can snap levels together and then share them worldwide.

Any player can easily snap together and customise intricate maps,” said id’s Marty Stratton.

The Doom community has been one of those most creative in the industry, and now we are putting Doom into the hands of the players.”

Doom will hit shelves in Spring next year on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
