Alternative Resident Evil 5 heading to Xbox 360

Capcom has revealed it hopes to bring Resident Evil 5 Alternative Edition to Xbox 360 owners.

The game was announced for PS3 at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, and adds support for Sony’s Motion Controller. It also includes extra content, including a playable sequence set in the original Resident Evil mansion.

A Dengeki Online report states that Capcom is planning to bring the additional content to the Xbox 360 version of Resident Evil 5, according to IGN. However, the publisher warned it will be in a different format”, most likely in the form of DLC.

Given the lack of a more detail timeframe for Natal, there is no word yet on whether or not the Xbox 360 edition will feature Microsoft’s own motion-sensitive functionality.
