Amazon App Store finally heading to the UK

Developers are being invited to submit apps for a European version of the Amazon App Store, which is scheduled to open this summer.

The portal will support the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain with plans for further global expansion in the near future”. Developers will be free to choose which countries they do and do not wish to release their products in.

Amazon’s US App Store has been a hit offering tens of thousands” of apps and app demoing, as well as functions such as in-app purchases.
