Amazon backs GAME Vita pricing

Retailer Amazon has gone live with its pre-order pricing for Sony’s PlayStation Vita.

It concurs with the prices put out by GAME earlier in the week – that being a 279.99 RRP for the premium 3G model and 229.99 for the wi-fi only device.

To put that into some sort sort of perspective, the PSP launched in the UK for 179.99. 3DS pre-orders began at 229.99 though by the time the machine eventually launched it was available for as little at 180.

There’s no way of knowing whether Sony’s device will succumb to the same sort of retail discounted as predicated the 3DS release.
