Amazon "looking into" early delivery of Grand Theft Auto V

The weekend arrival of Grand Theft Auto V with some Amazon customers is being investigated by the retailer.

MCV reported yesterday that some Amazon customers received their game on Saturday – three days ahead of Rockstar’s apparently strict sales embargo.

We have established processes in place to deliver new titles to customers on their release date and are looking into the circumstances that led to a small number of customers receiving this game earlier than intended on this occasion,” a spokesperson for the retailer told MCV.

Amazon customers who ordered GTA V for release day delivery will receive their game today (Tuesday 17th September).”

Rockstar has yet to respond to MCV’s request for comment.

Grand Theft Auto V was released, we’re sure you’ve heard, at midnight last night.
