Amazon tops online rankings list

Amazon UK and Argos have stayed at last year’s number one and two spots respectively, while Tesco has knocked Play.com off the number three spot, moving it down one place to number four.

Experian said that one of the fast moving sectors were department stores and John Lewis was one of those, moving up one place and into the top ten.

Supermarkets were also fast movers, but despite the main site’s success, Tesco Direct slipped down two places to number 11. Sainsbury’s meanwhile shot up the charts from number 39 up to number 22. Asda also climbed up from number 28 to number 24.
