Analyst: Nintendo trumps Microsofts first party offerings

One US analyst had rubbished Microsoft’s belief that its first party Xbox 360 titles are superior” to the catalogues offered by either Nintendo or Sony.

In fact, Michael Pachter thinks that Nintendo is the clear leader when it comes to the quality and success of first party console software.

I think Nintendo’s first-party content is vastly superior toeither other console manufacturer’s, and don’t think that either Sony orMicrosoft would really dispute that,” Pachter told IndustryGamers.

"As far as who is better, Sony orMicrosoft, I’m not sure why anyone cares about my opinion. I have allthree consoles, and love Sony first party titles likeGod of War, GranTurismo, Uncharted, Little Big Planetand the upcomingTwisted Metal,and I love Microsoft first party titles likeHalo, Forza, Fable, AlanWakeandGears.

I’m sure that there is a scientific way to determinewho is better, but that’s like arguing about whether Ford is better thanGM or whether Wal-Mart is better than Target. They’re both good, andpeople have different tastes."
