Angry Birds and Rio partner up again

Rovio’s enraged avians are getting a Rio makeover to mark the launch of Rio 2.

This is the second time that the Angry Birds series has partnered up with that of Rio, Angry Bird Rio came out to mark the release of the first film in 2011 and saw players rescuing other birds rather than killing pigs.

The Rio 2 update is out now, with more content – including four sets of levels – being released over the next six months around the world. The partnership extends past your touchscreens, too. The duo are also teaming up to produce merchandise.

Angry Birds Rio also comes with sneak peeks of the film.Rio 2 comes to cinemas in April 2014.
