Apple blocks new PopCap game

In news that will generate plenty of publicity and surely not cause too much unease at casual giant PopCap, new release Unpleasant Horse has been blocked by Apple.

The game is the first release from PopCap’s new satellite studio 4th & Battery, whose self-defined goal is to "quickly try really strange or marginal ideas".

In a Tweet from the studio that has since been removed, it stated: "WTF? Apple rejected Unpleasant Horse cuz of ‘mature content’? We thought horses dying in meat grinders was wholesome family entertainment!

"We’re appealing, though (with a higher rating) and we’ll hopefully have good news for y’all soon!"

It also followed by the news by some suitable brown nosing of the iOS giant.

"Anyhoo, we still love Apple. Honest. We even had (and liked!) a Newton back in the day. Hope we get an appropriate rating for the game!"
