Apps twice as likely to crash on iOS versus Android – report

Apple’s reputation as offering the most stable operating system around may not be accurate.

TechRadar reports that data from Crittercism says that the average app crash rate on iOS 7.1 is 1.6 per cent. In comparison, the rate on Android versions 4.0 and upwards is just 0.7 per cent.

That’s according to numbers compiled from monitoring usage of over a billion apps.

This of course means that for every crash on Android iOS users will experience more than two.
