Armed robbers steal Modern Warfare 3 shipment

Up to 6,000 copies of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 were reportedly stolen by French thieves in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Eurogamer reports that a car crashed into a van carrying around €400,000 worth of video games at 8:00am on Sunday morning.

Upon exiting the van, the drivers were sprayed with tear gas by two masked assailants, who then entered and made off with the vehicle.

However, the crooks were leaving it a little late in the day considering the game’s launch at midnight tonight. Had they have grabbed their bounty earlier in the week there was a killing to be made on eBay.
