Asda opens PS4 pre-orders

UK supermarket Asda has become one of the first non-specialists in the country to begin accepting PS4 pre-orders.

Customers are asked to pay 20 to reserve their machine – a first for the chain which has never before taken deposit payments on gaming hardware.

We believe that the demand for this next generation console will be worth the system development and time we have invested to bring this offer to our customers,” an Asda spokesperson told MCV.

The retailer does not offer an estimated RRP, although it does believe it will arrive in the UK in 2013.

Its pre-order page can be seen here.
