Augumented Reality title Play Room pre-installed on all PS4s

Sony has announced quirky title Play Room will be pre-installed on every PS4 at launch.

The augmented reality game lets players mess around on screen with characters or each other. For example, antagonising a small robot will lead it to set a players’ hair on fire or disintegrate their skull.

Other mini-games allow them to spray virtual water around the room from the controller, or orchestrate a disco for little robots living inside the DualShock pad itself, pressing buttons to activate different disco lights.

The game is in development at Sony Worldwide Studios and was shown off during Sony’s Gamescom conference.

It is reminiscent of other AR titles such as EyePet or Wonderbook: Book of Spells.
