Avenger controller coming to PS3

Peripherals firm N-Control is releasing a PS3 version of its bizarre Avenger controller later this year.

The device is technically an external adapter that houses the existing Sony joypad, adding a number of new controls that will help gamers react to in-game situations quicker.

Through a series of levels, pulleys and straps, the Avenger allows users to use all triggers and shoulder buttons with their thumbs. These can all be customised to make them even more responsive.

The PS3 Avenger will be released in November and can now be pre-ordered via N-Control’s website. It will retail for $48.99 and only 5,000 units will be available worldwide.

A similar adapter is already available for the Xbox 360 controller.
