Bad Company 2 heading to iPhone

EA Mobile has confirmed an iPhone and iPod Touch release for Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

The version will include many of the hallmarks the series has become most noted for – realistic military simulation, controllable vehicles and, hopefully at least, destructible environments, though the latter has not been explicitly confirmed.

In addition, there will also be an online multiplayer element in addition to the 14-level single player game, though details on it are scarce for the time being.

The game is due to be released on the App Store in November.

It’s becoming increasingly common for triple-A console titles to make the move to Apple’s iPhone. Yesterday it was confirmed that following the success of previous conversions Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 4 Capcom is to bring a port of Dead Rising to the device.
