Bandai Namco closing in on D3P

Japanese publisher Bandai Namco has acquired a 95 per cent stake in rival D3P in a deal estimated to be worth 9m.

Furthermore, a complete buyout is expected to be closed in the near future.

Bandai Namco Games has announced plans to acquire 100 per cent of D3, and its subsidiaries D3Publisher of America and D3Publisher of Europe as well as D3PA’s subsidiary development studio, Vicious Cycle,” a D3P statement read.

D3Publisher operations will remain unchanged at this time. Development of our current and unannounced titles is ongoing and will move forward as planned.
