Battlefield 4 minimum and recommended PC specs revealed

DICE has released the minimum and recommended PC specs required to play the Frostbite 3-powered Battlefield.

Contrary to what many players feared, it isn’t the most demanding game out there, but you will need to free up 30 GB of space on your hard drive. So you may want to reconsider that digital purchase.

Minimum requirements

  • OS: Windows Vista SP2 32-bit (with KB971512 platform update)
  • CPU: AMD Athlon X2 2.8 Ghz or Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz
  • Memory: 4 GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon HD 3840 or Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT
  • Graphics memory: 512 MB
  • HDD: 30 GB

Recommended specs

  • OS: Windows 8 64-bit (with KB971512 platform update)
  • CPU: AMD six-core or Intel quad-core
  • Memory: 8 GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7870 or Nvidia Geforce GTX 660
  • Graphics memory: 3 MB
  • HDD: 30 GB

Battlefield 4 is set for release on 1st November for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. It is also a PS4 and Xbox One launch title.
