Bend Studio’s new IP Days Gone coming to PS4

Another zombie game will soon hit shelves, as Sony announced a new IP developed by Bend Studio last night.

The developer is known for its work on Vita’s Uncharted title Golden Abyss.

The studio’s new project, Days Gone, is a survival-horror title set after the world was wiped out by a mysterious pandemic and left ‘Freakers’ behind – which is just a way to avoid using the word ‘zombie’.

A trailer was shown towards the start of PlayStation’s conference, with an extended gameplay demo closing affairs, too.

This is a brutal world, where everyone and everything is struggling to survive – but hopefully, the trailer shows that the game is about more than that,” commented Bend Studio’s creative director John Garvin.

It’s about desperation, hope, transformation, loss, madness, discovery, friendship, exploration, brotherhood, regret and love. In the end, Days Gone is about what makes us human. It’s about how even when confronted with such enormous tragedy, we find a reason to live.”

The release date was not announced but we know that Days Gone will be a PS4 exclusive. You can take a look at the trailer below:
