Big names set for GDC Europe

The organisers of GDC Europe have announced a string of lectures and talks for its 2010 event in Cologne.

Rare’s Nick Burton and Blitz’s Andrew Oliver will deliver a lecture on Microsoft’s Kinect entitled: ‘Kinecting with a new audience’, while BioWare co-founders Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk will deliver a ten year retrospective into the Baldur’s Gate franchise.

Finally, Newtoy CEO Payl Bettney, creator of Words With Friends, will deliver a discussion on iPhone game marketing.

The announcements come with just two weeks to go before the Wednesday, July 21st early registration for the show.

Other lectures includes a speech from Another World creator Eric Chahi on his new title Project Dust, a Heavy Rain production talk and Remedy art director Saku Lehtinen on Alan Wake. That’s on-top of speeches from Quantic Dream’s David Cage, InstantActions Loud Castle and the creators of APB, Crysis 2 and Split/Second.

GDC Europe games place between August 16th and August 18th and is located in Cologne alongside the Gamescom trade show.
