Black Friday traffic sinks PSN servers

Sony’s PlayStation Network is struggling across all platforms – likely as a result of the Black Friday rush.

As with much of games retail today, Sony is holding a generous sale event to mark the occasion, with up to 50 per cent knocked off of games such as The Witcher 3, Need For Speed, Destiny and FIFA 16.

However, it seems to have backfired, with players reported ‘Site Not Available’ issues on PC and other problems on PS4 and PS3 (via Eurogamer).

The PlayStation Network status page is filled with red lights, with PlayStation Now remaining the only standing service.

Games are also suffering connection troubles, with Bungie tweeting that PS4 players may find to hard to connect to Destiny matches currently.

At the time of writing, Sony is yet to say anything on the problems.
