Black Ops gets zombie mode

Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops will include a zombie mode when it arrives next month.

The popular multiplayer game from 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War was a hit with gamers, and developer Treyarch is catering to them again with this year’s release.

"Zombies have been such a hit with our community that we were committed to bringing brand new zombie experiences to Black Ops,” says Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia.

We’ve taken extra special care to retain the essential ingredients of our zombie game, and have also crafted a nice surprise for the fans.”

Black Ops’ four player co-op zombie mode joins the game’s ‘Combat Training’ option, where up to six users can rank up by battling against computer-controlled enemies.

Activision also revealed that four updated co-op maps from World at War will come with the Prestige and Hardened editions of Black Ops.

Call of Duty: Black Ops goes on sale on Friday, November 9th for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Last year Modern Warfare 2 became one of the best-selling games of all time.
