Bulletstorm dev working on Gears prequels?

A new Gears of War trilogy is rumoured to be in the works under development at Bulletstorm studio People Can Fly.

The latest issue of OXM US, reported via CVG, suggests the Bulletstorm developer will be working on several prequels for Microsoft’s popular Xbox 360 shooter series.

It’s worth noting People Can Fly is owned by current Gears of War developer Epic Games. The former was also responsible for the PC version of the original Gears of War in 2007.

Gears of War 3 went on sale in September. It sold more than 3m copies during its first week on sale.
