Cameron: Ubisoft is the perfect partner for Avatar

Hollywood director James Cameron told the assembled crowds at E3 that Ubisoft was the perfect creative partner for the tie-in to his highly anticipated Avatar movie.

The game will then be shown to selected media behind close doors in its full true-to-life 3D glory.

Technically, we have a lot in common with Ubisoft and the game world,” commented James Cameron during the Ubisoft press conference.

We utilized highly sophisticated technologies in creating Avatar so, when it came to choosing a game company, I wanted a partner that would not only be inspired creatively by the world of Avatar but would have the capacity to keep up with the challenging demands of its technological needs. Ubisoft was that company.”

Avatar is due for PSP, DS, Wii, 360, PS3 and PC before the end of the year.
