Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker lands on Wii U in December

Upcoming Wii U release Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will launch in North America on December 5th, Nintendo of America has announced.

The news was briefly mentioned by the firm among its Super Smash Bros announcements earlier today. The 3D puzzle-platformer is to be priced at $40 and will support select Amiibo figures” starting at some point in 2015.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a spinoff of Super Mario 3D World that fleshes out Toad’s mini-games from the 2013 Wii U effort into the character’s own adventure.

No word yet from Nintendo of Europe, so the territory’s release window remains January 2015 for the time being.
