Case Zero shatters XBLA records

Capcom has announced that Dead Rising: Case Zero has broken the record on Xbox Live for week one unit sales.

The digital-only prologue to the upcoming Dead Rising 2 has seen more downloads since it launched last week than any other title posted on Microsoft’s online games service.

Yesterday, Capcom announced that more than 300,000 users had already registered score’s on Case Zero’s leaderboards.

The game puts players in the shoes of Chuck Greene, the protagonist of Dead Rising 2, as he tries to find a cure for his infected daughter.

Case Zero is exclusively available on Xbox Live, with the upcoming retail game due for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 24th. The PC version will follow on September 28th.
