Case Zero tops Xbox Live charts

Dead Rising 2: Case Zero was the most successful Xbox Live launch in 2010.

Week one sales for the downloadable Capcom title outperformed all other XBLA games released last year, including the critically acclaimed Limbo, the first digital-only Lara Croft title and Case Zero’s own follow-up Dead Rising 2: Case West.

The rankings were released by Major Nelson, who also announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops had the most unique users playing online in the game’s first week.

Capcom shattered XBLA records for week one sales when the digital prequel to Dead Rising 2 was released in September. Case Zero topped 500,000 downloads within its first two weeks.

The publisher later announced it had purchased the game’s developer Blue Castle, now known as Capcom Games Studio Vancouver.
