Casual boss departs THQ

THQ’s EVP ofkids, family and casual gamesMartin Good has left the publisher along with 30 developers due to weak sales of uDraw.

The jobs were cut at THQ’s Play development team in Agoura Hills, California. Last week the publisher revised its Q3 financial estimates after its uDraw accessory performed poorly on Xbox 360 and PS3.

"Due to weaker than expected sales of the uDraw Game Tablet, we are taking a difficult but important step to reduce the number of employees that supported this brand,” said a THQ spokesperson.

Good will be leaving to ‘pursue new opportunities’.
