Square Enix has released Championship Manager Legends: 1970s on the App Store.

The iPhone game, developed by Beautiful Game Studios, allows gamers to manage a team throughout the 70s. It boasts an authentic database of footballers and features various start dates.

Championship Manager Legends: 1970s also includes OpenFeint compatibility which enables buyers to unlock achievements and share their scores on Facebook and Twitter.

The 1970s was an era of fantastic footballers including Johan Cruyff, Kenny Dalglish and Luis Arconada,” said Beautiful Game Studios’ general manager Roy Meredith.

Now for the first time in Championship Manager you can manage these legendary players and their classic teams. We’ve also packed the game with authentic news stories from the decade so you feel fully immersed as you play through from 1970 to 1980.”

The game is currently available to download for 2.99.
