Playlogic relaunches

Playlogic has relaunched as a newly-formed company, now named Playlogic Entertainment N.V.

The troubled publisher filed for bankruptcy back in July, but restarts its business this month. Part of the company’s former staff has been re-employed and will work under a new management team.

Playlogic Entertainment will focus on developing products for Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo platforms, with details of its first titles to follow soon.

It will also grow its presence in the mobile gaming space through a foreign subsidiary that develops titles for mobile phones, tablets and browsers. The publisher is also in final negotiations to acquire another firm in this sector.

Playlogic Entertainment Incorporated – a US-listed company – is not involved in the relaunch.
