3DS: 10+ titles from day one

Nintendo earlier this week said 25-30 games will hit during the 3DS launch window – but MCV can reveal that means around 10 titles will be on shelves from day one.

The console hits shelves on March 25th.

But retail sources have told us already that Nintendogs + cats, Street Fighter IV, Pro Evo and LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars are definitely locked in for the first day too.

This morning, a Ubisoft release schedule revealed the publisher is hoping to have four of its own games ready: Asphalt 3D, Rayman 3D, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Shadow Wars 3D and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 3D.

It’s expected other first-party or third-party may round out the pack, but there’s no official word yet.

But with around 10 games on day one, that leaves another 20 for the launch window release, which runs from end of March to the summer.

Ubisoft already has two games ready for the week following launch, April 1st: Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D and Rabbids 3D.
