Cut The Rope gets premium price on Nintendo eShop

Nintendo’s decision to bring hit mobile games that have made their name on smartphones seems like a smart one.

So the arrival of Chillingo’s hit puzzle title Cut The Rope can be nothing other than a really smart move, right?

Perhaps. Until you see that it costs 500 Points. That equates to around 4.50, or over six and a half times the 69p it costs on the Apple App Store.

Nintendo’s fears of low cost digital games devaluing the overall software market are well documented. Though quite at odds, of course, with the decision to give away 20 free digital games to 3DS owners.
